About

Homestay Lucknow started in 2003 with American students as its first guests. Over the period of seventeen years the homestay has seen hundreds of guests from all over the world. We have together created wonderful memories, got together again for reunions, shared recipes, laughed together and been part of each other’s life and journey! We hope we continue to have guests come in and leave as friends and family!

What People Say

This is a cool, ethnic, serene homestay in a VIP pocket of Lucknow. If you are exhausted by hotel stays and buzzing activities, this is for you. Service is excellent. Human, reasonable, down to earth. No power back up,very small but clean shared bathrooms. Hot water available. Most recommended for genuine backpackers. To find the place, reach the Congress party office in Mall Avenue and then take directions from the caretaker.

If you want a budget place to stay with the comfort of being looked after and a homely feel, this is the place for you.

We stayed at Lucknow Homestay for one night.
We arrived around midday and Naran immediately took care of us.
We had a fabulous lunch at the accom and Naran gave us tips for where to top up phone, get some groceries and places to explore. He also was so interesting in his stories.
We also enjoyed the dinner at the homestay also. The food was incredible and only 100 Rs each.
They have tea and coffee facilities also.
On the roof they have a lovely seating area in the sun.
The homestay is in a great little neighbourhood with some great restaurants and it has a quiet and calm feel.
Naran organised our Auto for the next morning to the train station and was so kind on request to organise us some sandwiches for our train journey in the morning.
Was a fantastic stay.

I stayed in Naheed’s homestay for three nights and four days. The room is spacious and it has a king sized bed. It has an Ac unt and a fast moving ceiling fan which keeps the room cool while the environment outside the house is hot. The free breakfast that comes with the room is fantastic. The breakfast menu changes all the time so i djdnt get the same thing within my stay. The optional lunch and dinner menu were fantastic vegetarian meals and they were priced very reasonably. Vaheed herself was engaged with work but I managed to see her on my second day there. She was vivacious and made me feel at home. There were tea sachets, sugar and a kettle for you to make your own tea. The other guests were all so friendly and we would meet for dinner on an ad hoc basis to share what we have done or plan to do the next day. You could go anywhere easily from this homestay. I would strongly recommend Lucknow Homestay to anyone.
